Job summary

Slate Auto LLC in the USA is seeking a Vehicle Network and Diagnostics Validation Engineer to validate CAN and UDS communications across bench, HIL, and vehicle environments. You will build test plans, execute validation, and ensure traceability from requirements to test results.

The role requires 5+ years validating automotive networks, hands-on experience with Vector tools, CAPL/Python for automation, and strong collaboration across engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years validating vehicle network architectures, ECU comms and diagnostics.
• Experience with CAN, UDS, ISO standards and end‑to‑end vehicle comms.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans, cases, and validation strategies for vehicle communication.
• Build bench, HIL, and vehicle test setups with fault injection and restbus configs.
• Validate CAN databases (.DBC) and diagnostic content (.CDD) against vehicle matrix.
• Support validation traceability, defect tracking, and CI pipeline integration.
• Verify UDS services and manage fault code handling and system health.
