Job summary

Slate seeks a Vehicle Network and Diagnostics Validation Engineer to validate CAN/UDS communications and diagnostics across bench, HIL, and vehicle levels. You’ll work with cross‑functional teams to ensure software communication is verified to a high standard before release.

The role requires hands‑on testing of ECU diagnostics, bootloaders, and cybersecurity features, plus building automated regression tests and CI integration in a startup‑spirited environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 5+ years validating vehicle network architectures and diagnostics integration.
• Experience with CAN, UDS, ISO standards and E2E communication protection.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans and validation strategies for vehicle comms.
• Build bench, HIL, and vehicle test setups and maintain traceability.
• Validate CAN DB files, DTCs and UDS services across modules.
• Create automated regression scripts and integrate into CI pipelines.
