Job summary

Global Connect Technologies in Auburn Hills, MI seeks an experienced Telematics Validation Engineer to validate automotive telematics systems, embedded features, and connectivity across CAN, UDS, and diagnostic interfaces. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Automotive, Embedded Systems, or related Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in automotive telematics, embedded systems, or vehicle validation.
• Strong knowledge of CAN/CAN-FD, UDS, diagnostics, and automotive communication protocols.
• Experience with CANoe/CANalyzer, HIL testing, and vehicle or bench validation.
• Familiarity with TCU, GPS/GNSS, cellular connectivity, and connected vehicle systems.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and test documentation skills.
• Experience with Jira, ALM, or similar defect-tracking tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute validation plans, test cases, and test procedures for automotive telematics systems.
• Validate TCU/telematics control units, connected vehicle features, and vehicle communication interfaces.
• Perform testing of CAN/CAN-FD, LIN, Ethernet, UDS, and diagnostic communication.
• Validate cellular connectivity, GPS/GNSS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and cloud-connected vehicle functionality.
• Conduct HIL, bench, vehicle, and end-to-end system testing.
• Use CANoe, CANalyzer, or similar automotive validation tools to monitor and analyze communication.
• Perform defect identification, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
• Log and track defects using Jira, ALM, or similar tools and support resolution with cross-functional teams.
• Validate software updates, diagnostics, connectivity performance, and system integration.
• Prepare test reports and ensure compliance with automotive quality and validation processes.
