Job summary

Magna Steyr is seeking a Senior Vehicle Integration Project Engineer in the USA to lead the end‑to‑end development of vehicle systems, from concept through production launch. You will work with OEMs, Magna divisions, and external suppliers to ensure technical excellence and on‑time program execution.

The role requires a bachelor’s in mechanical/auto engineering with 10+ years in automotive product development, plus strong DFMEA/DVP&R and systems engineering experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/auto engineering or related field.
• 10+ years automotive product development experience.
• Experience in complete vehicle development and launch activities.
• Proven leadership of engineering projects and cross-functional teams.
• Strong knowledge of DFMEA, DVP&R, GD&T, APQP and release processes.
• Experience with OEM customers and global engineering organizations.
• Willingness to travel up to 15% domestically and internationally.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, validation, integration and launch of vehicle systems.
• Collaborate with OEM customers, Magna divisions, and global suppliers.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams.
• Develop and approve engineering requirements, specs and performance targets.
• Oversee DFMEA/DVP&R documentation and validation strategies.
• Coordinate CAE support and ensure manufacturing feasibility.
• Lead technical reviews with customers and suppliers.
• Drive cross‑functional integration across multiple subsystems and programs.
