Job summary

Magna Steyr USA is seeking an experienced Vehicle Integration Project Engineer to support the design, development, validation, integration and launch of vehicle systems and complete vehicle programs. You will work closely with OEM customers, Magna engineering teams, manufacturing, and suppliers to meet technical, quality, cost and timing targets.

The role requires 5+ years in automotive engineering, DFMEA/DVP&R knowledge, and strong collaboration skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, mechatronics, automotive engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years automotive engineering experience.
  • Experience with DFMEA and DVP&R processes.
  • Experience in vehicle systems development and validation.
  • CAD/CAE experience and OEM collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to design, development, validation, integration and launch of vehicle systems.
  • Coordinate engineering requirements, specifications, performance targets and deliverables.
  • Lead validation plans including virtual and physical testing.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, CAE teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Lead DFMEA, DVP&R documentation and engineering reviews.
  • Support prototype, pilot and production ramp-up activities.
  • Ensure designs meet manufacturing feasibility, takt time and cost targets.
