Job summary

NewGen Technologies is seeking a VDI Consultant to design, deploy, and optimize virtual desktop environments using VMware Horizon, Citrix, and Microsoft technologies. You will work on-site with the customer to ensure secure, scalable VDI aligned with business needs.

Responsibilities include monitoring, troubleshooting access and performance, health checks, patching, capacity planning, and collaboration with Dell support. Strong scripting and AD/M365 skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in VDI design, deployment, and support.
• Expertise in VMware Horizon View, vSphere, Citrix, Microsoft AVD, and Dell infrastructure.
• Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Python) for automation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain VDI environments (VMware Horizon, Citrix VAD).
• Troubleshoot user access, performance bottlenecks, and application delivery.
• Perform health checks, patching, and capacity planning.
• Support endpoint devices including thin/zero clients and mobile access.
• Document daily activities, incidents, and system changes.
• Design and deploy VDI architectures using Dell infrastructure.
• Configure and deploy virtual desktops and app pools.
• Integrate App Volumes, UEM, and profile management tools.
• Analyze performance metrics and recommend improvements.
• Implement automation scripts for provisioning and monitoring.
• Support GPU-accelerated VDI for multimedia apps.
• Ensure security standards and compliance in VDI environments.
• Configure access control policies and endpoint security.
• Collaborate with customer IT teams and Dell support.
