Job summary

General Dynamics - IT is seeking a senior Systems Engineer to design, secure, and optimize enterprise VDI platforms. You will lead Citrix XenDesktop and Azure Virtual Desktop initiatives, work across on-prem, cloud, and hybrid environments, and automate via scripting.

The role demands a TS/SCI with poly, DoD 8570 IAT II compliance, and 10+ years of desktop virtualization experience. Expect challenging missions supporting national security operations.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with poly is required.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II compliance (Security+ CE, SSCP, GSEC, CySA+, or CCNA Security, etc.).
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in desktop virtualization infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop and Azure Virtual Desktop deployments.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and sustain Citrix XenDesktop and VDI in large-scale environments.
• Engineer and support Azure Virtual Desktop deployments across on-prem, cloud, and hybrid setups.
• Automate processes using PowerShell or Python.
• Perform Tier 3+ troubleshooting and root cause analysis of VDI infrastructure.
• Maintain engineering documentation and VDI lifecycle procedures.
