Job summary

Fortis Construction, Inc. is seeking a Sr. VDC Manager to set the vision for virtual design and construction across business units and enterprise.

You will lead VDC managers, coordinators, and technicians, driving standardization, process excellence, and innovative technology adoption. Responsibilities include aligning VDC with project strategy, partnering with operations and IT, and developing strategic talent.

Qualifications

7+ years of progressive VDC or construction technology experience.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
Advanced knowledge of VDC workflows and platforms.
Experience leading VDC strategy on complex projects.
Experience leading and developing teams.
Strong communication and executive presentation skills.
Experience with multiple project delivery methods (Design-Bid-Build, Design/Build, CM/GC, etc).
Ability to think strategically while maintaining operational awareness.
Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership for VDC practices across units or enterprise.
Oversee VDC managers and project-level VDC teams to ensure value delivery.
Develop and mentor VDC staff; build leadership within the team.
Align VDC investments with measurable business value and budgets.
Collaborate with Operations Technology, Data, and IT to integrate VDC with strategy.
Monitor performance and implement corrective actions across projects.
Facilitate cross-project knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
Other duties as assigned.
