Job summary

DPR Construction in San Francisco leads advanced VDC workflows at the project level, integrating model-based processes to improve cost, schedule, and quality outcomes. This role applies BIM and construction technology to support coordination, quantification, and planning across teams.

You will mentor VDC Engineers, collaborate with design, engineering, and field teams, and help set up projects to host BIM data following the company’s best practices for modeling, coordination, and visualization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field, or equivalent experience required.
• 3-6 years of experience in Virtual Design and Construction (VDC), BIM, or a related field required.
• Certifications and licenses: None required.

Responsibilities

• Leads implementation of project-specific VDC workflows including coordination and visual planning.
• Oversees model setup, integration, and management across disciplines for accuracy.
• Identifies and resolves design and coordination conflicts early to minimize impacts.
• Collaborates with design and trade partners for model-based communication and sequencing.
• Prepares visuals, drawings, and documentation from models to support RFIs.
• Follows up on RFIs and ensures timely resolution.
• Trains and mentors project team members in VDC tools to improve delivery efficiency.
• Applies advanced BIM knowledge to navigate models and share lessons learned.
