Job summary

Fivetran, Inc. is hiring a Business Value Engineer to drive measurable customer success by linking dbt Labs and Fivetran value to business outcomes.

You will partner with strategic customers and executives to accelerate adoption, renewals, and growth while translating product capabilities into quantified value. You will guide value reviews, develop compelling business cases, and collaborate with product and engineering to tailor solutions for champions and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in value engineering, management consulting, or a related customer-facing role.
• Expert knowledge and experience in value-based-selling methodologies.
• Demonstrated experience in building and briefing business cases to Economic Buyers and other executives.
• Expertise in identifying and prioritizing use cases, implementing improvement measures, and becoming a change agent for dbt Labs customers by establishing a value delivery model.
• Ability to project manage across multiple workstreams, including defining scope, expectations, timelines, and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with sales leaders to identify a value delivery strategy for key accounts.
• Engage with top prospects to identify and quantify their challenges and potential benefits with dbt.
• Define and communicate the dbt Labs value proposition aligned with customer objectives.
• Lead business value reviews and business cases, communicating realized impacts and economic benefits.
• Conduct analysis of customer workflows, identifying opportunities for optimization and efficiency.
• Create and deliver boardroom-quality executive presentations and work with product/engineering to tailor solutions.
• Build value-based GTM motions with dbt leadership to prove product value and grow deal sizes.
