Job summary

Fivetran, Inc. and dbt Labs are hiring a Senior Manager to lead the Product Design team responsible for dbt Labs. This role reports to the Director of Product Design and will guide design across dbt platform and CLI-based products, ensuring a coherent experience for deeply technical users.

You will shape UX strategy, mentor designers, and partner with Product and Engineering to design data workflows, ELT processes, and AI-powered experiences at scale in a hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of product design experience.
• At least 5 years managing product designers.
• Strong leadership with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with ELT, data infrastructure, or analytics tooling is a plus.
• Experience designing AI-powered experiences.
• Ability to own UX strategy across product areas.
• Comfort discussing data workflows with engineering leaders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the dbt product design team and coach designers across dbt platform and CLI products.
• Own and drive UX strategy for dbt product experiences.
• Provide design direction for complex technical data workflows and tools.
• Shape AI- and agentic product experiences for high-stakes technical work.
• Help integrate Fivetran and dbt Labs design culture and processes.
• Build an AI-native design operating model across the lifecycle.
