Job summary

Forvis Mazars, LLP is seeking a Senior Consultant in Valuation Services to join our team in the Tysons area. You will perform complex valuations for financial reporting, tax, and transaction needs, including businesses, securities, and intangible assets.

You will build robust valuation models (DCF, comps, options, Monte Carlo), evaluate assumptions, and prepare concise reports for clients. Lead and mentor junior staff while coordinating multiple engagements.”

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics or related field.
• Two years of business valuation experience.
• MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform analyses and valuations of businesses, securities, intangibles, partnerships, derivatives, options, and other illiquid investments for financial reporting, tax compliance, transaction support, and decision making.
• Build, update, and evaluate complex valuation models using DCF, guideline analyses, precedent transactions, market multiples, option pricing models, Monte Carlo simulations, and other techniques.
• Assess financial statements, cash flows, projections, and management assumptions to develop supportable valuation conclusions.
• Conduct industry and market research on sectors, transactions, and peers to inform valuations.
• Develop valuation reports, memoranda, client presentations, and supporting materials communicating methodologies and conclusions.
• Engage with clients and management to gather information and present findings.
• Oversee multiple engagements, manage timelines, and coordinate resources.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to associates and junior professionals.
