Job summary

EBSCO Information Services, a global leader in research platforms, seeks a Senior User Experience Researcher to advance usability, accessibility, and scholarly effectiveness across our discovery and digital research tools for higher education and libraries.

You will design and lead research studies, translate findings into actionable insights, and partner with UX designers and product managers to influence product direction and strategy while championing user-centered design across teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in UX research, human-computer interaction, or a related field.
• Strong foundation in both qualitative and quantitative research methods.
• Experience translating ambiguous problem spaces into clear research direction.
• Experience working in cross-functional product teams.
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills.
• A diverse portfolio that demonstrates impact across complex problem spaces.

Responsibilities

• Autonomously own end-to-end research including planning, designing, and conducting qualitative and quantitative user research across the product lifecycle.
• Translate complex research findings into clear, actionable insights and recommendations.
• Partner with UX designers, product managers, and stakeholders to influence product direction and strategy.
• Advocate for user-centered design principles and research best practices across teams.
• Conduct usability testing, interviews, surveys, and field studies.
• Synthesize findings into clear, structured deliverables such as research reports, personas, journey maps, and frameworks.
• Advocate for accessibility, inclusivity, and equitable access to information in all research efforts.
