Job summary

Baxter International Inc. is seeking a UX Designer to support global development and technology teams with interaction, visual and industrial design, plus user research.

The role collaborates with the UX team and cross-location project teams in an Agile setting, leading and advising on various design areas from visual design to front-end documentation. The position requires strong collaboration, user empathy, and ability to articulate design decisions.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with design software such as Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, Axure, Qt Design Studio.
• 5+ years of related work experience in UX-related fields.
• Bachelor's or equivalent in Human Factors or related field.
• Ability to travel to Baxter and/or customer sites and meet hospital credentialing requirements.
• Strong understanding of UX design principles.
• Experience with advanced Figma features (components, auto-layout, themes).
• Ability to explain and document UI designs and decisions.
• Experience in medical device or other regulated fields preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create user friendly interface designs, adhering to established UI design standards and practices.
• Participate in customer interviews, interactions, and other user research to identify needs.
• Create UI prototypes for testing or marketing purposes.
• Participate in usability research, including test plans, scripts, moderating sessions, and final reports.
• Document user experience designs and specifications.
• Provide UX input to cross functional teams with product/process improvement recommendations.
• Work independently with minimal supervision in an Agile environment.
• Communicate design intent through storyboards, user-stories, workflows, wireframes and final designs.
