Job summary

Baxter Healthcare Corporation is seeking a Senior Engineer, UI/UX to shape the next generation of medical device interfaces and digital health solutions. Located in Round Lake, IL, you will drive world-class user experiences that support our mission to save and sustain lives.

You will partner with design and engineering teams to translate clinician and patient insights into intuitive interfaces, ensure usability and safety, and align with IEC 62366 and FDA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in UX/HCI, Human Factors, CS or related field.
• 3+ years of UI/UX experience in a regulated industry preferred.
• Strong portfolio showing complex workflows and interaction design.
• Proficiency with Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD or Axure.

Responsibilities

• Build UI solutions supporting clinician, patient, and caregiver workflows.
• Translate user requirements and risk mitigations into UI solutions.
• Ensure consistency via patterns, style guides, and design system collaboration.
• Integrate IEC 62366 and FDA usability requirements into the UI/UX workflow.
• Support formative studies, heuristic evaluations, use-error analyses, and simulated-use testing.
• Analyze study results and recommend changes to improve safety and usability.
• Contribute to UI-related risk analysis.
