Job summary

Baxter in Raleigh seeks an experienced UX Designer to advance user-centered software for healthcare. You will translate clinical needs into intuitive interfaces, create UI concepts, and collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver measurable improvements.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Human Factors or related field, 3+ years of UX experience, strong Figma skills, ability to travel to Baxter or customer sites, and a passion for patient safety and compliant design in regulated

Qualifications

Bachelors in Human Factors or related field, or equivalent.
3+ years of related work experience.
Ability to travel to Baxter and/or customer sites and meet hospital credentialing requirements.
A solid understanding of UX design principles.
Experience using UI design and prototyping tools, especially advanced figma skills, including creating and using components, variables, auto-layout, and themes.
Passion for improving user experiences and willing and able to advocate on behalf of the user and UX standard processes.
Ability to explain and document UI designs and decisions, both verbally and in written form.
Experience with medical device or other regulated fields preferred.

Responsibilities

Create user friendly interface designs, adhering to established UI design standards and practices, including Baxter design patterns and guidelines, W3C guidelines, Google Material Design guidelines, Apple Human Interface Guidelines, and Android Design Guidelines.
Participate in customer interviews, interactions, and other user research to identify customer needs and wants.
Create UI prototypes, which may be used for testing or marketing purposes.
Participate in usability research, including creating test plans and scripts, moderating usability test sessions, and writing final reports.
Document user experience designs and specifications.
Provide UX and design input to cross functional teams, including recommendations for product and process improvements based on UX expertise and knowledge.
Act independently with minimal supervision. Apply project team engineering methodologies and tools to manage work and communicate across teams and specialties.
