Your role at Baxter The Baxter User Experience (UX) design team supports the global development and advanced technology teams with interaction, visual and industrial design as well as ethnographic research and Human Factors and Usability testing. Our designers work collaboratively with stakeholders and customers to research, design and implement competitively differentiated user experience solutions for clinicians and patients. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working closely with our UX team as well as our cross functional/cross location project teams and be able to function with limited supervision in an Agile software development environment. A designer in this role will lead, consult and assist development teams in several or all the following areas: visual design, interaction design, usability testing, human factors, user research, information architecture, front end development and design documentation. They must demonstrate a passion for design, strong collaboration skills and a proficiency in concept development and communication skills. We are looking for a creative problem solver who is competent in evaluating, selecting, and applying standard user experience principles and processes to recognize, understand and solve user needs. We are looking for someone who is passionate about this work, who empathizes with the functional and psychological needs of the people who experience our products first hand. The estimated base salary for this position is $104,000 to $143,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
