Job summary

Amazon seeks a Senior UX Designer for the Kiro product area to shape developer experiences across IDE, CLI, Web, Mobile, and Kiro Crew. You will lead early design work, drive concept framing, and collaborate with product, engineering, and leadership to ship improvements that influence long‑term product direction.

You will own end‑to‑end design for major features, advocate for users, mentor teammates, and help build cohesive, trust‑driven experiences as AI acts with meaningful autonomy.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of design experience
• Portfolio demonstrating audience understanding and early‑stage thinking
• Experience designing complex workflows across multiple surfaces
• Experience designing AI-enabled products with autonomous aspects
• Proficiency with multiple prototyping tools and methods

Responsibilities

• Deep audience understanding through research and mental-modeling for developers
• Lead concept framing, ecosystem maps, and user stories for platform directions
• Own end‑to‑end design for major features across IDE, CLI, Web, Mobile, and Kiro Crew
• Shape UX for agentic workflows including autonomous mode and verification
• Prototype rapidly from low to high fidelity using appropriate tools and methods
• Ensure cohesive experiences across desktop, terminal, browser, and mobile surfaces
• Collaborate with product and engineering to advocate for customers
• Mentor junior designers and define scalable design patterns
