Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. in Seattle, WA is seeking a Senior UX Designer to shape the developer experience for Kiro across IDE, CLI, Web, Mobile, and Kiro Crew.

You will lead concept framing, user research, and end-to-end design, collaborating with product, engineering, and leadership to deliver meaningful improvements that scale. You will drive multi-surface workflows, mentor designers, and establish scalable patterns while balancing ambition with deliverables and timelines.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of design experience.
• Portfolio demonstrates deep audience understanding and early-stage design thinking, including concept models and user stories.
• Experience designing complex, multi-step workflows across platforms with strong IA and interaction design.
• Experience designing AI-enabled products with meaningful autonomy.
• Proficiency with multiple prototyping tools and appropriate fidelity.

Responsibilities

• Go deep on audience understanding through research and mental models.
• Lead concept design and early-stage framing with ecosystem maps, concept models, user stories and journey frameworks.
• Own end-to-end design for major features across the Kiro platform (IDE, CLI, Web, Mobile, Kiro Crew).
• Shape the UX of agentic workflows including spec-driven development, autonomous mode, parallel agents, hooks, and verification.
• Iterate rapidly and prototype with appropriate fidelity, from sketches to interactive prototypes.
• Design cohesive experiences across desktop, terminal, browser, mobile, and OSS surfaces.
• Partner with product management and engineering to influence strategy with strong design rationale.
• Mentor junior designers and define scalable design patterns.
