Job summary

Irby Construction Company seeks a Master Trainer to elevate training standards across field operations, focusing on transmission and distribution power line construction. This role emphasizes safety, technical excellence, and leadership in a hands-on environment.

You will train crews, apprentices, and leaders in classroom and field settings, collaborating with regional teams and maintaining curricula aligned with company standards. Extensive travel across the United States is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Journeyman Lineman certification or related credential preferred.
• Extensive hands-on technical experience in transmission and distribution power line construction.
• Experience delivering classroom and hands-on field training to crews, supervisors, and leaders.
• Willingness and ability to travel regularly and nationwide across the United States.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom and hands-on field training across multiple utility construction disciplines.
• Adapt technical instruction for diverse crews to ensure understanding.
• Conduct training on insulation & isolates, grounding & bonding, capacity modeling, and incident investigation.
• Provide hands-on coaching to crews, apprentices, supervisors, and field leadership.
• Develop job aids, checklists, and training materials; support trainer development.
