Job summary

Irby Construction Company is seeking a Master Trainer to elevate training standards for transmission and distribution work across the United States. This hands-on role requires field expertise to train crews, apprentices, supervisors, and leaders in classrooms and live field environments.

The Master Trainer will uphold safety, drive continuous improvement, and collaborate with regional teams to maintain technically accurate curricula and field-ready competencies.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering classroom and field training to utility construction crews, supervisors, apprentices, and leaders.
• Ability to coach and influence employees at all levels of the organization.
• Strong knowledge of safety practices and incident investigation processes.
• Able to work across multiple regions and adapt training to field conditions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom and hands-on field training across transmission and distribution disciplines.
• Coach crews, apprentices, supervisors, and leaders in safety and technical execution.
• Develop and update curriculum, job aids, and reference materials.
• Lead pre- and post-training evaluations to identify development needs.
• Promote continuous improvement and standardization across regions.
• Travel nationwide to Irby project locations and regional operations.
