Job summary

Irby Construction Company seeks a Master Trainer to elevate training standards across transmission and distribution projects. This hands-on role requires field credibility to train crews, apprentices, and leaders in both classroom and live field settings.

The trainer will ensure curriculum alignment with OSHA and company standards, travel nationwide, and mentor other trainers while promoting safety, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Journeyman Lineman cert or related degree preferred.
• Extensive hands-on experience in transmission and distribution power line construction.
• Field credibility to effectively instruct experienced crews and leaders.
• Willingness to travel nationwide and work in field environments.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom and hands-on training across utility construction disciplines, focusing on transmission and distribution.
• Adapt instruction for diverse crews to ensure comprehension and consistency.
• Lead capability-based training clinics during live work and coaching sessions.
• Coordinate field coaching to reinforce safety and technical excellence.
• Maintain training records and evaluate learner progress.
