Job summary

NovaSource Power Services is seeking a Utility Solar Technician III for the Boulder City, NV site. The role focuses on maintenance and operation of a utility-scale PV plant, including SCADA monitoring, testing, troubleshooting, and repairs on AC/DC systems and inverters.

Candidates should have 3+ years in utility solar O&M, substation experience, and a strong safety background. College or technical degree preferred; valid driver's license required; travel may be involved.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Utility Solar Operations & Maintenance
• 1 year of substation experience required, 2-3 years preferred
• Experience in operating and maintaining power plant electrical systems, SCADA and controls systems operation
• Prior Supervisory experience a plus
• College or technical degree preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Equivalent training in military, utility, or power industry a plus
• Proficiency reading and understanding Electrical schematics and prints
• Proficient at medium & high voltage switching
• Knowledge of local and national electrical codes

Responsibilities

• Monitoring PV Plant operation through SCADA, commissioning, testing, inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying AC and DC solar PV systems, including inverters, PV module arrays, transformers, switchgear, and metering systems
