Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC is seeking a Development Manager to lead renewable energy projects in the US, focusing on solar, wind and energy storage. This role drives the full project lifecycle from greenfield to COD, coordinating internal teams and external consultants to maximize value and ensure timely delivery.

You will manage budgets, schedules, and stakeholder relationships while identifying optimal locations and leading competitive project strategies across ERCOT and other markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM, business/economics, or related fields; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of work experience, 3 in renewable energy infrastructure; US project experience preferred.
• Excellent project management skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and deliverables in complex projects.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop utility-scale Solar, Wind and Energy Storage projects from greenfield to COD.
• Serve as project lead, coordinating large cross-functional teams.
• Assess financial attractiveness and identify optimal project locations with commercial/technical teams.
• Lead greenfield campaigns and grow RWE's project pipeline.
• Manage full lifecycle including land control, permits, interconnection, engineering, and tax equity issues.
• Drive competitiveness using technical, commercial and financial levers.
• Conduct project acquisitions due diligence with M&A and internal teams.
• Prepare executive presentations and manage internal approvals.
• Develop budgets, objectives, schedules, and deliverables for assigned projects.
• Participate in internal improvement initiatives.
