Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a senior Project Manager to lead capital projects in the utility sector from Midland, TX. The role involves coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, managing safety, schedule, budget, and client experience across the full project life cycle.

The ideal candidate has 12+ years of PM experience in utility/construction, strong communication skills, and the ability to mentor teams.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in Project Management of Utility, Construction, Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience leading multi-disciplinary teams.
• Experience in capital project management.
• Experience serving as a firm/client liaison in a lead or support role.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities.
• Travel approx. 10–25% domestically.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Oversee project execution, contract administration, planning and resource management.
• Own all aspects of project performance including safety, schedule, budget, reporting, and client experience.
• Manage all phases of the project life cycle from initiation to closeout.
• Direct and mentor project team; coordinate with client leads and stakeholders.
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
• Support KPI reporting for schedule, budget, and dashboards.
• Identify and control construction risk and changes.
• Prepare reports and communicate project information clearly to clients.
