Job summary

Sargent & Lundy in Houston, TX seeks an experienced Project Manager for a hybrid work arrangement. You will manage transmission, substation and distribution projects, coordinating with multiple teams to drive end-to-end capital project execution.

Responsibilities include project execution, contract administration, planning, budgeting and reporting, mentoring the team, and maintaining client satisfaction while controlling risk, schedule and costs. Travel approximately 10–25%.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of project management experience in utility, construction, or engineering.
• Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary teams.
• Experience in capital project management.
• Experience as a firm/client liaison in a support or lead role.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities while delivering results.
• Comfortable with 10–25% travel.

Responsibilities

• Manage execution, contract administration, planning and resource management.
• Own all aspects of project performance including safety, schedule, budget, reporting and client experience.
• Lead and direct the project team, mentoring to build accountability.
• Develop and maintain relationships with client leads and stakeholders.
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on time and within budget.
• Support KPI reporting for schedule, budget and dashboards.
• Identify and manage construction risk and changes.
• Communicate with stakeholders and prepare concise project reports.
• Analyze issues and provide solutions to improve results.
