Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead the execution of large utility projects in a hybrid work setting. You will coordinate with internal and external teams to manage capital projects from start to finish, ensuring safety, schedule, and budget alignment and delivering a strong client experience.

You will oversee multi-disciplinary teams, report KPIs, control risks, and drive changes while maintaining excellent communication with stakeholders across the project

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in project management of utility, construction, or engineering.
• Proven experience leading multi-disciplinary teams.
• Experience in capital project management.
• Experience as a firm/client liaison in a lead or support role.
• Strong multitasking and prioritization abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a collaborative team setting.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Willingness to travel approximately 10–25% domestically.

Responsibilities

• Manage project execution, contract administration, planning and resource management.
• Take ownership for all aspects of project performance including safety, schedule, budget, reporting and client experience through entire project life cycle.
• Accountable for all phases of the project life cycle from initiation, planning, execution, monitoring/controlling, and close out.
• Manage and direct the project team to ensure accountability; mentor and coach team members.
• Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with client functional leads and stakeholders.
• Lead efforts to ensure projects are completed safely, satisfactorily, on time, and within budget.
• Support the reporting of key performance indicators for schedule, budget and other dashboard items.
• Identify and control construction risk.
• Recognize, identify, track and control change.
• Communicate and consult with appropriate stakeholders and supervisors.
• Prepare reports that project information in a clear and concise manner and meet client requirements.
• Analyze issues and provide solutions to improve results.
