Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician for Utilities on the day shift to support a new drug substance facility in North Carolina. You will provide technical expertise, oversee start-up activities and daily operations across plant utility systems.

This role emphasizes safety, quality, and adherence to GMPs. Key tasks include installation, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of steam, chilled water, WFI, HVAC, and other plant services.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma or GED with 2 years in Utility Operations or Maintenance.
• Requires an Associates degree or equivalent experience for alternate path.
• Preferred 5+ years of utility operations and mechanical maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, maintain and document process and utility equipment.
• Maintain and repair utility systems serving Manufacturing, Lab, and other operations.
• Coordinate with vendors and maintenance providers; ensure GMP, SOP and Amgen policy compliance.
• Report on maintenance activities; ensure timely communication with operators and stakeholders.
