Job summary

Amgen in Holly Springs, NC is seeking a Maintenance Technician – Utilities on the Night Shift to support start-up of plant utilities and daily operations in a highly regulated cGMP environment. You will perform installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of steam, cooling, HVAC, WFI and other utility systems, documenting work, and communicating status to operators.

The role requires 1 year of utility operations or maintenance with a High School Diploma or GED; Associate's Degree preferred,

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED with 1 year of utility operations or maintenance experience.
Associate’s Degree preferred.
2+ years knowledge of plant utility equipment and systems (chillers, boilers, cooling towers, air compressors).
Experience in a cGMP or other regulated environment.
Experience executing and documenting maintenance work orders in a CMMS.
Ability to interpret P&ID’s.

Responsibilities

Install, troubleshoot, maintain, repair, test and document process and utility equipment.
Operate and repair utility systems serving Manufacturing and Lab operations.
Maintain systems such as steam, chilled water, compressed air, cooling tower water, HVAC, and related equipment.
Engage with maintenance providers and vendors; complete safety and quality documentation.
Communicate status to system operators and stakeholders; review maintenance records.
