Job summary

Amgen in North Carolina seeks a Maintenance Technician Utilities for the night shift at the ANC site. You will perform installation, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of process and utility equipment including steam, chilled water, compressed air, HVAC and related systems.

You will document work, support GMP compliance and production with on-call rotations as needed. The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, ability to read P&IDs, and effective communication with peers and vendors.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED and 1 year of Utility Operations or Maintenance experience.
• Associates Degree preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Familiarity with CMMS or maintenance planning systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, testing and documentation of process and utility equipment.
• Maintain and repair utility systems (steam, chilled water, compressed air, cooling towers, HVAC, WFI, etc.).
• Coordinate with vendors and maintenance service providers.
• Complete quality and safety documentation per GMPs and SOPs.
• Communicate status and ensure timely work order completion.
• Be part of on-call rotation including nights, weekends, and holidays.
