Job summary

The City of Edmonds is seeking a Senior Utilities Engineer to lead and manage the city’s water, stormwater and sewer utility engineering programs. You will develop capital projects, prepare designs and cost estimates, and oversee consultant and contractor contracts.

You will use AutoCAD and related software, supervise staff, and ensure compliance with City, state and federal standards while coordinating with multiple departments and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Four years of public works or construction related experience.
• WA State Professional Civil Engineer (PE) license is required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage the City’s engineering programs for water, stormwater and sewer utilities.
• Review and approve utility design drawings and ensure code compliance.
• Manage consultant contracts, bid processes, and project budgets for CIP programs.
• Perform field inspections and monitor construction activities to ensure quality and safety.
