Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required.
• Three years of experience designing and managing municipal public works projects preferred.
• Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Florida or able to obtain within six months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Planning and design of utility capital projects.
• Leads planning studies as required for water and wastewater utility operations and regulatory compliance.
• Assists in supervising projects in construction phase and serves as liaison between developers, engineers and contractors.
• Assists in the preparation of bid documents.
• Prepares and coordinates permit applications for submittal to various State and Federal agencies.
• Attends public hearings and meetings.
• Reviews construction plans submitted by Developer’s Engineer for Utility Plan Approval.
• Updates Geographical Information system (GIS) for the Utility Department.
