Alan seeks a User Researcher to guide product decisions with evidence from interviews, diary studies, surveys, and usability sessions. You will work across product, design, and engineering teams to translate member needs into actionable insights.

You'll partner with analytics to tell a complete story and help grow a strong research culture across Alan, sharing your craft and mentoring teammates along the way.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a product/user researcher in a tech environment with hands-on qualitative methods (interviews, diary studies, think-aloud usability testing, direct observation)
• Strong quantitative research skills: survey design, sampling, crosstabs, core statistics
• Sharp critical thinking: identify valuable research, scope efficiently, deliver actionable insights
• Strategic mindset: partner with product stakeholders and tie findings to business impact

Responsibilities

• Gather and prioritize the most important questions from across the company and design the right research to answer them
• Run interviews, diary studies, surveys, and usability sessions across the product lifecycle
• Turn findings into clear, compelling insights for cross-functional teams
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering and with analytics to tell a complete product story
• Grow research culture at Alan and mentor teammates
