Job summary

Abbott is seeking a Senior Analyst in Global Trade Compliance to manage post-entry issues and support protests, prior disclosures, and PSC actions in U.S. import operations. You will partner with internal teams, brokers, and legal advisors to drive corrective actions and ensure timely government submissions.

The role requires strong regulatory knowledge, analytical skills, and excellent written communication. Moderate travel is expected, and Abbott offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Compliance, Audit, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in U.S. import compliance or customs brokerage.
  • Experience with protests, prior disclosures, PSC, or customs audit responses.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations (19 CFR, entry requirements, liquidation, protests, prior disclosures, valuation, classification, country of origin).
  • Ability to analyze large volumes of import data for compliance risks and corrective actions.
  • Strong writing skills for regulatory submissions and business communications.
  • High attention to detail and problem solving.
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support protests, prior disclosure analysis, post-summary corrections (PSC), and CF28/29 responses.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, customs brokers, and outside counsel to gather import records and supporting documentation.
  • Monitor protest, prior disclosure, PSC, liquidated damages, and bills timelines; ensure submissions and payments are completed accurately and timely.
  • Maintain organized records, supporting data, correspondence, and government communications.
  • Identify inconsistencies, errors, or trends requiring corrective action.
  • Maintain awareness of regulatory changes, CBP guidance, trade remedies, tariff actions, and enforcement priorities.
  • Partner with business teams to implement corrective actions from disclosures or protests.
  • Travel 5% - 10%.
