Job summary

ABB is seeking a Senior Leader for the U.S. Trade Compliance Program to partner with the CTCO in governance, risk management, and continuous improvement across the trade compliance function. This role leads strategic initiatives, engages with business units, and guides global regulatory actions from the United States.

The successful candidate will bring deep knowledge of U.S. import/export controls, sanctions, and ITAR, a proven leadership record, and the ability to drive sustainable compliance

Qualifications

• Master's degree in supply chain and/or trade management preferred with 10+ years in U.S. trade compliance.
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain and/or trade management with 12+ years in U.S. trade compliance.
• Customs Broker license strongly preferred.
• Certified Import and/or Export Specialist preferred but not required.
• Proven track record managing U.S. trade compliance programs and knowledge of CBP, BIS, EAR, OFAC, ITAR.
• Working knowledge of ERP systems, SAP/GTS strongly preferred.
• Ability to work remotely within a Country team in a complex, decentralized organization.
• Candidates must already have work authorization to work for ABB in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Support the CTCO in developing, implementing, and executing the U.S. Trade Compliance Program strategy.
• Lead initiatives to ensure compliance with U.S. import, export, sanctions, and other trade regulations.
• Drive continuous improvement of the Country's trade compliance processes.
• Serve as a senior advisor to Local Trade Compliance Officers on risks and regulatory requirements.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate trade compliance risks through proactive monitoring and controls.
• Coordinate with LTCOs on remediation following internal audits and regulatory reviews.
• Monitor compliance performance through Annual Trade Reviews and risk assessments.
