Job summary

Reliant Critical Infrastructure is seeking an Expert UPS Technician III to support critical power systems in Salt Lake City, Utah. You'll work on UPS and battery systems including startups, certifications, and preventive maintenance.

You'll lead project teams, coordinate with contractors and clients, and ensure safety, quality, and on-schedule delivery. Travel up to 50% may be required.

Strong communication and leadership are essential as you mentor junior technicians and maintain high morale.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience servicing UPS systems.
• Technical experience with electrical and mechanical UPS components.
• Familiarity with major OEMs (Eaton, Mitsubishi, Schneider, APC, GE, Emerson).
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and torque values.
• Strong written and verbal communication; leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform UPS system replacements, installations, startups, and certifications.
• Conduct preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on UPS and battery systems.
• Install, diagnose, repair, and commission UPS equipment and related gear.
• Lead project teams and mentor crew members.
• Collaborate with contractors, partners, and clients to meet schedule and budget.
• Operate UPS, battery systems, PDUs, ATS, and rectifiers.
• Communicate clearly with coworkers, sales, engineering, and management.
• Assess manpower and material needs for maintenance and installation.
• Estimate consumables and connectivity parts for projects.
• Monitor crew productivity and safety; maintain a safe work environment.
• Train and mentor less experienced technicians.
• Travel up to 50% to other job sites.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Services Management.
