Job summary

M.C. Dean is hiring for a field service technician in the Critical Power Group. The role involves daily travel, on-call duties, and preventive maintenance of UPS, batteries, and power systems at major facilities.

You will interface with customers, document work, and ensure safety standards are met while supporting on-site engineers. Ideal candidates have a 5+ year track record in electrical/electronics, strong schematic reading, and solid communication skills.

Qualifications

• AA/BS degree in Electrical and/or Electronics from an accredited college or university.
• At least 5+ years of experience with UPS systems, batteries and electrical apparatus.
• Ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams.
• Strong written and oral communication skills and basic software proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Daily travel with independent work structure and on-call availability.
• Perform installation and repair of static switch and PDU systems.
• Provide preventive maintenance and on-site technical support.
• Coordinate and manage on-site subcontractors and maintain documentation.
• Maintain safety standards and accuracy of reports and records.
