Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking a Power Electronics Technician to support the Critical Power Group. The role covers inspection, maintenance, and testing of UPS and power systems at client sites nationwide with 100% travel and 24/7 on-call availability.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, battery replacement, field reports, and coordination of subs. A BS/AS in electrical/electronics plus 5+ years UPS experience are preferred.

Qualifications

AA/BS degree in Electrical and/or Electronics from an accredited college or university, or equivalent field or military training.
This position requires at least 5+ years of experience with various UPS systems, batteries, test equipment, and associated electrical apparatuses.

Responsibilities

Inspect power electronic systems (UPS, batteries, static transfer switches, PDU) and their controls.
Perform maintenance, testing, and preventative service under contract.
Coordinate on-site subcontractors and manage field operations.
Provide technical assistance and documentation to customers and engineers.
