Job summary

Network Designs is seeking a Senior Unified Communications Voice Architect to lead deployment, configuration, and lifecycle management of enterprise voice solutions across 800+ sites in a large, federal setting. You will work with Teams Voice, Avaya, MSTP, and EVoIP, coordinating across engineering, operations, and security teams.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in enterprise telephony, strong Microsoft Teams Voice knowledge, and an ability to communicate with leadership and government

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, CS, Business Systems, or related.
• 8+ years of experience in enterprise telephony/unified communications with at least 1 year supporting Microsoft Teams Phone System.
• Hands-on experience with Avaya, MSTP, Microsoft Teams Voice, and EVoIP.
• Experience with MSTP engineering activities: config, endpoint connectivity, performance troubleshooting, readiness.
• Strong knowledge of Teams Voice tech: Direct Routing, Operator Connect, SBCs, SIP/VoIP routing, dial plan design.
• Experience with PowerShell scripting, Teams Admin Center, 365 Admin Center, Jira, and ITSM for incidents and workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise voice deployment across 800+ sites, including Teams Voice, Avaya, MSTP, EVoIP, and Cisco voice technologies.
• Oversee MSTP engineering activities: endpoint connectivity, readiness, performance.
• Troubleshoot Avaya and MSTP systems to ensure reliability and alignment with business needs.
• Support Microsoft Teams Voice, including Direct Routing, SBC configuration, and dial plan design.
• Configure and maintain voice features: E911, call queues, auto attendants, voicemail, and number management.
• Provide secure reach-back support to stakeholders and ensure compliance with security standards.
• Monitor systems with Power BI and other tools to track uptime, usage, and risks.
• Serve as escalation point for complex telephony issues and lead cross-team coordination.
