Job summary

Amentum seeks a Senior Unified Capabilities Engineer to lead UC design and integration efforts on DoD networks. You will architect, implement, and secure UC solutions including CUCM, CUBE, and Meeting Server, interfacing with network engineers, security specialists, and stakeholders.

This role requires delivering high-assurance communications in classified environments. Candidates should have deep UC experience, DoD exposure, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced,

Qualifications

• Subject Matter Expert in UC design and integration with other systems.
• Expert with UC design, Endpoints and user management, configuration, troubleshooting, and integration.
• Experience designing secure UC solutions in DoD environments.
• Experience with voice gateways, SIP SBCs, SIP trunks, and ISDN circuits.
• Understanding of Cisco IOS/IOX for UC-related configurations.

Responsibilities

• Contribute technical expertise in UC and collaboration technologies including large-scale conferencing.
• Lead a UC engineering team for secure, scalable prototypes for DoD use.
• Serve as technical contact for UC design and engineering activities.
• Define architecture specs compliant with UCR, STIGs, and cybersecurity mandates.
• Integrate voice, video, instant messaging, presence across IP networks.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure seamless integration with classified infra.
• Develop lab testing, PoCs, and field evaluations.
• Present engineering documentation and risk assessments to leadership and government.
