Job summary
ASM Research seeks an experienced Unified Communications Engineer to design, implement, and sustain enterprise voice, video, and collaboration services across on‑premise and cloud environments. You will ensure high availability, security, and alignment with customer requirements and SLAs in a federal setting.
The role requires 8+ years in telecom/UC engineering, hands‑on experience with Cisco, Microsoft Teams Phone, Avaya, and strong documentation skills; ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Telecommunications, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in telecommunications engineering, unified communications, or voice network engineering.
Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and maintain enterprise UC solutions across on-premise and cloud environments.
- Monitor performance and health of UC networks, analyze KPIs, and identify bottlenecks.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for UC incidents and problems, including escalations from Tier II support.
- Develop and document standards, runbooks, and configuration baselines for UC platforms and related infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan changes, upgrades, and migrations with minimal user impact.
- Produce technical reports, capacity analyses, and recommendations to inform improvements to UC environment.
