Job summary

Alliant Insurance Services in Chicago seeks an accomplished underwriting and analytics leader responsible for executing advanced pricing and analysis requests and leading the underwriting and analyst teams.

You will meet with producers, clients, underwriters, and account executives to define projects, manage workload, drive strategic goals, and ensure timely, accurate reporting while expanding client solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years related work experience.
• 1+ years of management leading a team of at least 3 individuals.
• Valid Insurance License; continuing education to renew license.

Responsibilities

• Expert in all major underwriting areas, including pricing and marketing projects.
• Meet with Producers, clients, Underwriters, and Account Executives to define projects.
• Manage team of Underwriters and Analysts; allocate workload.
• Set strategic goals for teams, including resource planning and training needs.
• Coordinate external relationships with carriers, consultants and third party administrators.
• Understand actuarial plan values and use pricing/analysis software.
• Modify underwriting models and reporting templates to meet client needs.
• Lead client underwriting projects; present analyses clearly to clients.
• Assist Producers in RFP responses and presentations; follow-up activities.
• Maintain data tracking and reporting for financial management and analytics.
• Proficient with carrier data systems to obtain claim data for reporting.
• Analyze renewal calculations for fully-insured contracts.
• Pursue educational opportunities to advance underwriting knowledge.
