CVS Health’s Meritain Health underwriting team seeks a Senior Manager to lead and mentor a group of underwriters, ensuring timely, accurate deliverables while fostering growth and collaboration across the unit.

You will guide underwriting analysis, risk assessment, pricing strategies, and client communications, partnering with sales, client management, and stop‑loss carriers to support growth and profitability.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of underwriting/accounting pricing experience.
• 5+ years of Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency.
• 2+ years of medical insurance experience with brokers, carriers, or TPAs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of underwriters with daily coaching and performance reviews.
• Prepare underwriting analyses, risk assessments, and quotes for renewal and new business.
• Balance pricing strategies with member, revenue, and profitability goals.
• Collaborate with Sales, Client Management, and operations to support sales and retention.
• Identify process improvements and optimize underwriting tools and reporting.
