Job summary

CVS Health is seeking an Underwriter for Meritain Health to help price and quote prospective and existing business, including stop loss and plan design considerations. This fully remote role supports a diversified book of business and emphasizes collaboration with Sales and Client Management teams, using Excel and Salesforce for financial analyses.

The position requires 1–2 years of medical insurance experience, strong communication, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and consultation to Sales and Client Management teams on pricing and stop loss strategies.
• Prepares and issues quotations and other financial deliverables for prospective and existing business while meeting TAT goals.
• Prepares financial projections on prospects utilizing Excel and Salesforce.
• Marketing and placement of stop loss policies, negotiating terms based on claims data and cost avoidance.
• Collaborates with leaders to understand potential impacts for custom requests.
• Manages and interprets operational data for fee development and financial analysis.
• Delivers presentations to internal/external customers and partners.
• Demonstrates understanding of Meritain products and services with strong business/system knowledge.
• Develops presentations for existing and prospective customers and partners.
• Works with Sales to determine product mix on proposals to reduce total cost of care.
• Assists sales and client management in explaining rates and communications.
• Maintains positive relationships with sales, client management, and internal partners.
