Job summary

CVS Health invites applications for an Underwriting role within Meritain Health, a CVS subsidiary. This fully remote position supports pricing, stop loss strategies, and proposal development for a diversified client base including Mid-Market and captive channels.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in medical insurance with strong communication, analytical skills, and teamwork. Bachelor’s degree is preferred; Excel and Salesforce experience are desirable.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of applicable medical insurance experience (brokers, carriers, TPA, underwriting, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to Sales and Client Management on pricing and stop loss strategies.
• Prepare and issue quotations and other financial deliverables for prospective and existing business.
• Prepare financial projections on prospects using Excel and Salesforce.
• Market and place stop loss policies; negotiate terms based on claims data and cost reduction efforts.
• Collaborate with leadership across functional areas to understand impacts of custom requests.
• Manage and interpret operational data and apply to fee development and financial analysis.
• Present to internal/external customers and business partners.
• Demonstrate understanding of Meritain products and services with strong business and systems knowledge.
• Develop and participate in presentations to customers, partners, and internal teams.
• Work with Sales to determine product mix on proposals to reduce total cost of care.
