Highmark Health is seeking a senior leader to oversee underwriting operations and act as the primary liaison to sales and customers. You will guide insights and recommendations for customer acquisition and retention while ensuring timely, high-quality outputs and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include managing staff, planning daily operations, budgeting, and driving region-wide or functional book strategies.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Finance, Business, Computer Science, Science, Technology, or other quantitative analysis discipline.
• 7 years of underwriting, risk management, or actuarial experience applying advanced mathematics or quantitative analysis.
• 5 years of external client interaction or comparable external interactions.
• 5 years of leadership experience.

Aufgaben

• Perform management duties including hiring, coaching, development, rewards, recognition and performance management.
• Plan, organize, staff, and direct daily operations with budgetary responsibility.
• Accountable for all levels of books of business and collaborate with Underwriting and Sales leadership on strategy.
• Coordinate with regional Sales leadership to anticipate client needs and manage workload.
• Provide guidance and insights for critical clients and large accounts.
• Understand strategic goals and drive portfolio results toward them.
• Develop and maintain positive customer relationships with stakeholders.
• Oversee execution, manage risks and issues, and ensure policy adherence.
• Manage relationships between the function and other stakeholders as SME for underwriting.
