Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Senior Analyst, Executive Underwriting Priorities to research, validate, and synthesize information for Caremark Underwriting leadership. You will analyze drivers of pricing, forecast outputs, and coordinate with stakeholders to obtain data and documentation in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires strong Excel proficiency, SQL data extraction, and the ability to build side analyses to support leadership decisions.

Qualifications

• 2 years of relevant professional experience in analytics, finance, underwriting, actuarial, forecasting, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas and structured modeling (e.g., INDEX/MATCH or XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, pivot tables, error checking, reconciliation techniques).
• Familiarity with relational databases and SQL concepts for data extraction, validation, and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Research and issue resolution support for ad hoc leadership requests.
• Model output investigation and variance analysis across pricing and forecasting tools/models.
• Coordinate with stakeholders across the underwriting ecosystem to obtain answers, trace data lineage, and confirm interpretation of results.
• Build and maintain side analyses (primarily in Excel) to validate assumptions, reconcile outputs, quantify impacts, and support leadership decisions.
• Query data using SQL and assist in data extraction and validation.
• Prepare meeting briefs and capture action items; represent leadership in lower-priority meetings when needed.
• Identify opportunities to streamline recurring requests and improve reliability of analysis.
