Job summary

CVS Health is seeking an Underwriting Sr. Analyst to drive financial analysis and PBM pricing strategies across Caremark and enterprise clients.

You will influence pricing decisions, develop segment-specific data analyses, and support leadership with actionable insights. The role requires strong Excel skills, actuarial acumen, and the ability to work with Sales, Account Management and Finance under tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• 3 years in a health plan actuarial role, PBM financial analysis or underwriting role or comparable experience.
• Strong Excel skills and data analysis capabilities.
• Actuarial experience and certifications are a plus

Responsibilities

• Assess risk and develop recommendations to maximize client value while retaining margin in PBM and Enterprise.
• Develop pricing recommendations for multiple lines of business based on in-depth competitive analysis.
• Assist underwriting leadership to develop pricing for downstream pricing with segment-specific data.
• Complete tasks in Caremark Underwriting models and modify FAFs as needed.
• Provide ad hoc analysis to support internal and client requests.
• Build and maintain relationships with Sales, Account Management, Caremark and Aetna Finance partners to support margin budgeting and validation.
• Create and update Pricing Commitment Documents reflecting Caremark pricing and terms for each segment.
• Advise Caremark Legal during contract negotiations as underwriting SME.
• Communicate findings and methodologies clearly; support implementation scenarios related to regulatory changes.
• Collaborate with internal teams to understand downstream implications of pricing strategies and ensure timely implementation.
