Job summary

CVS Health is seeking an Underwriting Sr. Analyst to lead financial analysis and underwriting for PBM pricing strategies.

You will collaborate with Finance and Underwriting leadership to drive value through data-driven pricing for Caremark and Enterprise clients, and focus on accuracy, process improvement, and cross‑functional partnership. The role emphasizes developing expert knowledge of PBM economics, working in a fast-paced team, and delivering timely, actionable insights to support pricing

Qualifications

3 years in a health plan actuarial role, PBM financial analysis or underwriting role
Actuarial experience and certifications a plus
Strong Excel and technical skills

Responsibilities

Assess risk and develop recommendations to maximize client value while retaining margin in the PBM and Enterprise
Develop pricing recommendations for multiple lines of business based on in-depth competitive analysis
Assist Aetna’s Underwriting leadership to develop pricing for downstream pricing with segment data
Complete tasks in the Caremark Underwriting models
Modify FAFs appropriately
Ad-hoc analysis to support internal and client requests
Develop and maintain relationships with Sales and Account Management
Create and update Pricing Commitment Documents reflecting terms for each business segment
Advise on contract negotiations with Caremark Legal
Provide analysis and advise on regulatory change implementations
Coordinate with internal partners to understand downstream implications of pricing strategies
