Job summary

Understory, a Madison, WI-based insurance tech company, seeks an experienced Underwriter to assess and price complex property and casualty risks for clients and partners. You will guide risk reviews, develop innovative underwriting strategies, and work with sales and leadership to grow the client base.

A Bachelor's in Finance/Economics is required, with 3+ years underwriting experience and strong broker relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics or related field required.
• 3+ years in property, casualty, or life underwriting with large accounts management experience.
• Strong broker and carrier relationships.
• Advanced analytical, decision-making and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Direct assessment, underwriting and pricing of complex property and casualty risks.
• Review insurance applications to gauge risk.
